APC Youth Network West Africa (formerly APC Youth Wing West Africa) has formally declared its full support for the re-election of Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru (PhD) as the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the forthcoming National Convention.
This endorsement reflects our firm belief in his proven leadership capacity, administrative competence, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the institutional structure and unity of the Party.
Senator Basiru’s tenure as National Secretary has been defined by consistency, discipline, and a deep understanding of party administration. His contributions have played a critical role in enhancing internal coordination, reinforcing party structures, and sustaining organizational stability across all levels.
As a youth-driven network committed to progressive governance and inclusive political participation, we emphasize the importance of continuity in leadership—particularly at a time when strategic consolidation remains vital to the Party’s future.
We also acknowledge and commend his openness to youth engagement, as well as his efforts in fostering stronger collaboration between Party leadership and young stakeholders across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Speaking on the endorsement, Hon. Gideon Olatunde Igbasan, Director-General of APC Youth Network West Africa, who also serves as the West Africa Coordinator for the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) initiative and West Africa Director of the City Boy Movement, stated:
